Reading weight/mass

Walt: read mass.

To play this game, you have to read mass. This game is hard for me. It didn’t know this game at all. I went to talk to matthew about it and he got it right. I still need help on this game. I think that the teacher can make it easy for.

Athletics/long jump

Walt:write a narrative.

I can hear the stretchy red floor laughing at me in my mind saying “please lose please lose” while I’m concentrating. I can hear the crowd cheering for the other competitors but not me.

Running as fast as I could wasn’t good enough because as I was running, the red floor just kept on getting longer and longer. I reached to the end of the red floor and I jumped. It was only 6.22 meters away from the other end. It was good enough for me because I was hoping for a 7ish. As the days went past, I kept trying and trying. Four years later was  the Olympics.

I wanted to compete in it and show those people what I can do. I made it through the finals in shot putt and discuss but not the other obstacles. I came back to main enemy which was long jump. I saw that the red floor was  short which was fine. I ran non stop. The crowd was silent for a moment. I jumped. !!BOOM!!, the crowd goes wild. My tears falling down on my shirt.

The day went past still thinking about the time when I came second.

The theme of this story is to face your fear.

Burning

Walt: write a narrative.
Enjoying a walk through the park, I see a massive fire at the far end of the park. Walking to check what made the fire to start. The fire went crawling into the new buildings.

I was filled with fear when it struck the buildings. Flames were leaping everywhere.  There were bodies half burned. People  were screaming for help. It was a disaster. I was going to bail them out of the house but I didn’t have the right gear.

Hearing the siren filled everyone up with joy. They were our heroes. It was a sigh of relief. The firefighters arrived and extinguished the flames. An enormous group of paramedics came along with the fire fighters. The paramedics needed help so they told the sad crowd to give them a hand with the bodies.

It was challenging for the fire stoppers because flames just flew everywhere. They bring the big hose to stop it from burning. It was still no match for the fire fighters. They called for more back up until it began to calm down. Fire fighters just kept coming and coming.

They took it out. Everyone cheered for the firefighters. As they were packing their equipments, I saw a spark. I went to it and step on it. It was out.

Langa, your work has improved.

Fireworks

Walt:1.write a narrative
2.use words to paint a picture
        3.use senses

It was a beautiful night. My mum just told me that she went to the shop and bought five Bad Boys boxes for my little siblings birthday. We all got ready to celebrate fireworks day. We had to take a box of Bad Boy each outside. I had to take all the fireworks out of the boxes and put all of them in a bunch. It was in the middle of the field. I was excited.

Dad lit up the fire and ran to us. It was astonishing when it zoomed to the sky. It took about 21 minutes till the fireworks were dead. Dad had a rocket firework in one hand and in the other hand, he had two milk bottles filled with water. He laid the rocket on the grass and sparked it up. He sprinted towards us because the wire that makes the rocket to work was short.

It flew like a bird but way faster. It was like a jet plane. When it reached the sky, I heard a bang. There was something wrong. Little bits of fire weren’t suppose to fall from the sky. My mum toted us away from the burning bits. Dad was like a fireman without the firesuit. He watered them till they were soggy. There was a little bit of fire that flew down to dads shoulder. His clothes burned quickly like as if he spilled gas on himself. Mum rang the ambulance to take him to the hospital.   While mum was putting water on dad, the ambulance came and took him. Mum remembered that while dad was walking, he was shaking  of the fireworks.

The theme is to never shake the fireworks when it didn’t light up.

Halloween

We're having a Halloween party at school
I'm dressed up like a vampire. Man, I look cool!
I put on some makeup to paint my face white
like creatures that only come out in the night

My mum drops me off and I run into school

and suddenly feel like the world's biggest fool.
