The First School Disco

The First School Disco
Everyone were fashionable when they arrived and had a delight night at the disco.

Some people said it was more like a glow party then a disco. Mr Hendrick organised it with help by the police. We had to bring a gold coin for the fundraising.

Going to St Puis

Dear Mrs Moodley

Yesterday was an awesome day. It was an good experience too.

had fun talking to the St Pius students, I know they were having fun too, because they were laughing. I didn’t know how to play the ukulele until one of the boys from St Pius taught me how to play it. I got better and better so now I’m  interested in ukuleles.

Mrs Carter you  taught us very well. Thank you.

Yours sincerely

Netbook Reflection 2012

Netbook Reflection 2012
The netbook has been very helpful to me because in writing it will help me fix up my mistakes, it can also make my writing easy for me to understand it.

What wasn't helpful for me was that the wireless internet connection sometimes couldn't work. The things that were distracting me was the pop ups, chats and playing games.

My goal for next year is to post more blogs and to improve my writing. My netbook has taught me so much and makes everything I do in class so much fun.

Chant for G.I.S

Chant for G.I.S

Be tough not rough.
Try your best
And beat the rest.
Make us proud.
Open your eyes
And G.I.S will win a prize.
Then come to school
And you won’t be a fool.

Survey and report

Walt: Write a report on my survey.

Last month I decided to find out what is the favourite game of the children's at Glen Innes? I went around personally and asked them what is their favourite game on the computer? My target was to survey kids from Glen Innes. 25 children were surveyed.

The results showed that most children's favourite game on the computer was Friv and Other which was equal. Cool Maths Games and Go Happy Monkey was the same that was also equal and the least popular game was Tank Trouble. Friv and Other was the most popular games at Glen Innes.

Ten people voted for Friv because their are many games for them to choose. There were also ten kids who chose Other games because they did not like the games that I chose.

Weird and Wacky Food Festivals

Walt: write a summary. Weird and Wacky Food Festivals. Last week room 11 had to find out about weird and wacky food festivals but I will tell you the two festivals I had chosen. The Tomato festival is held in Spain. It takes place in Bunol which is near to Valencia in Spain. It is held on the last Wednesday of August once a year. The festival starts at 11 am in the morning. The first event is when they climb the pole to get the ham. It has been a strong tradition in Bunol since 1945. No one knows why the La Tomatina started. The people has to throw tomatoes at each other. The Radish festival is held in Mexico. It takes place in the centre of Oaxaca. The Mexicans did the radish festival to encourage people to farm, that means they can grow their own vegetables. The Radish Festival starts on the 23d of December once a year. The name of the festival is known as Noche de Rabanos in Spanish. Everyone gathers around in the Plaza Zocalo and they make sculptures from red radishes that can weigh up to 3 kilograms. I think we should have a weird and wacky food festival for New Zealand. New Zealand should have a potato festival.

Thank you PaknSave

Dear Chris Woods

Glen Innes School appreciated all the things you gave us. It was delicious. We got to be creative with our sandwiches. We even got to clean the table. The fillings were extremely nice like the cheese, cucumbers, tuna with apples in it,lettuce and carrots. We had awesome times.

When we were finished we had to clean the hall for next week. I hope we are going to have nice day next week.

We appreciate it.

Yours sincerely

I learned about the Olympism Values.  My comic is about Friendship.  What I want to learn about the most is determination.

A big thank you

Dear Mum and Dad
Thank you for paying for my netbook that I always wanted. I always wanted it for the following reasons:

The first reason is that in writing the netbook will help me fix up my mistakes instead of using the dictionary because it takes a long time to look for a word.

The second reason is, in maths it will definitely help me to understand how to get the correct answer.

Last but not least, is that in reading it will help me to read better and better.

In conclusion I will take care of my netbook by being responsible for it and will not break it.

Your child
